Full Day Walking tour

Epic day tour, travel through time with your professional guide. The tour starts with a visit to the Basilica of Santa Croce, the burial place of the great and powerful of Florence: Michelangelo, Rossini, Machiavelli and Galileo Galilei, who was condemned by the Inquisition and could not have a Christian burial until 1737, 95 years after his death. The tour continues with a visit to the Palatine Gallery and the Royal Apartments, this wonderful Renaissance palace was built during the 15th century, purchased by the Medici family who became their glorious residence. The museum is the main gallery inside the palace and contains about 500 Renaissance paintings. The gallery has 28 rooms where inside you can admire the masterpieces of Botticelli, Titian, Rubens, Caravaggio, and many other Italian and European painters.

At the end of this first part of the tour, the guide will take you to the market square where you will meet our assistant who will take you on a journey through the flavors and tradition of Tuscan cuisine. You will taste the most traditional dishes while walking through the Central Market, the San Lorenzo market and you will also have time for a quick shopping and relaxation.

In the afternoon, meet with our professional guide and departure for the second part of the tour, breathe in the atmosphere of the medieval streets, the artisans’ workshops and admire the masterpieces of Leonardo Da Vinci, Botticelli and Michelangelo, including the famous David located inside the Accademia. See the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (external visit), with its beautiful dome designed by Brunelleschi, admire the Baptistery and Giotto’s Bell Tower. Continuing the walk we arrive in Piazza della Signoria, the center of political life in Florence since the 14th century. The tour ends at Ponte Vecchio, one of the symbolic places of Florence, once a meat and fish market, today you can admire the ancient workshops of the masters of Florentine goldsmith art known throughout the world.
